NSU RO 80

NSU’s revolutionary rotary-engined (Wankel) saloon car. The car also had an electric semi-automatic gearbox.
Unfortunately, the car’s rushed development meant that the problems with the engine’s seals caused so many warranty claims that NSU went bankrupt. Shame.
A lot of RO 80s were therefore converted to Ford V4 engines..

The problems have now been ironed-out, and a properly-maintained RO 80 is now considered a reliable classic. The Fuel economy (or lack thereof), is legendary..
