The Nissan Pao, first announced at the Tokyo Motor Show in October 1987, is a retro-styled automobile from Nissan Motors. It was available as a three-door hatchback with or without a textile sun roof (“canvas-top”), the canvas top being the most collectible. The Pao was one of three fashionable spinoffs of the K10 Micra — the Figaro and Be-1 being the other two. Like the Figaro, the Pao was sold without the Nissan name and only by reservation from January 15 through April 14, 1989; orders were served according to their date of placing. The Pao sold out in 3 months and remains a sought after and collectible car, with only about 51,657 made.

“I have owned this car for the past three years, and has provided me with no end of fun, super car to drive, extremely responsive.

The autobox is terrific and has an overdrive, so on long journeys driving as you would normally it is so frugal ( near to 50 MPG)

It has just passed its MOT with no advisories, it also benefits from the cheaper road tax bracket, and I insure it on a “Footman James classic car policy” it uses very little oil.

Believe it or not the “Gullwing” doors are very practical , as they take up a lot less room on opening than a conventional coupe door.

It has a good stereo system.

Items that could do with attention:- it has a few rusty wing edges, and could do with a respray really, the colour of this car is “Toyota greenish yellow” hence these cars are called “Grellows” and I think could be done quite cheaply as a lot of the car is glass.

It has had a cambelt change sometime before I got it, but I guess another one soon would be prudent, a kit is available online complete with replacement pulleys for circa £86.

As the cockpit is all enclosed in glass one would think it would be baking on hot days, but I have found that with both windows open it keeps cool enough, there are two removable roof panels that clip into place should you suffer from agrophobia, and these have their own “sleeve” in the boot to protect them when not being used.

It has A/C fitted from new but it does not work (maybe a regass?) any way the cabin has climate control that works very well.

I renewed the discs and pads when I got the car so they should be OK. Car is “on the road” so any trial.”

MALVERN, Pa (August 25th, 2014) – AmericanMuscle held their annual car show on August 16th, 2014 in Mohnton, Pa at Maple Grove Raceway.

This was the first year the show was held at Maple Grove and allowed a far greater number of Mustangs and spectators to enjoy the show.

Brett “Big Schwag” Wagner, host of the show “Pass Time” was one of the hosts of the show, MCing different events.

2,600 Mustangs converged at Maple Grove to make it one of the largest Mustang Events in the country, with 10,000+ spectators at the event.

$35,503.02 was raised for the Special Olympics, with $4,300 of that donation coming from the Red Mustang Registry.

Vaughn Gittin Jr. was at the show signing autographs and meeting fans.

A highlight of the show was Vaughn revealing his 2015 Mustang RTR to the public for the first time at the show. The RTR reveal was one of the most talked about events at the show. The 2015 Mustang RTR will be at the SEMA show in November and for sale at select dealers in January. 2015 RTR Mustang Parts will be available in January as well through AmericanMuscle.

Hot Rod legend Chip Foose was as the AmericanMuscle Car Show signing autographs and meeting fans. He signed autographs all day and even after the show ended. To make it an even more memorable moment, Chip Foose gave away Project MMD to Zachary Villareal of Alice, Texas. Project MMD was last year’s SEMA vehicle that was worth $70,000 with all of the upgrades done to the 2014 Mustang GT.
There was a Roush Burnout contest, a BBK revving competition and a Bama Performance Dyno Contest that ran throughout the day. The Roush Burnout Contest produced a lot of white smoke and shredded rubber, with a push rod 5.0L swapped New Edge Drift Car winning the contest. The BBK revving contest brought challengers from Fox Bodies to 2014 S197’s. The dominating sound of the 4 valve coyote engine with a full exhaust system took first place. The Bama Performance Dyno contest saw some modded Mustangs Putting down power from the low 600 HP range to the winner, a 2014 Turbo GT, putting down 926 RWHP.
Revelation Studios gave out free AmericanMuscle Tattoos all day long at the show. The Tattoos incorporated the AmericanMuscle Brand with car parts to truly embody the Mustang experience. After the awards ceremony and all of the $20,000+ in prizes were handed out, Mustang owners were able to drag race at the show for a heavily discounted price. By far this was the biggest and best AmericanMuscle show to date; from the Sponsors and vendors, to the Mustangs, spectators, and special guests, it was truly a memorable show.
